Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most visually striking parks. Famous for its majestic baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers a high density of wildlife. You’ll explore its diverse landscapes, which include open grasslands, swamps, and woodlands. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, lions, and many bird species. After a full day of wildlife viewing, you’ll proceed to your lodge or campsite near Lake Manyara for overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park Exploration

On the second day, you’ll visit Lake Manyara National Park, a lush green park set beneath the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment. Though smaller in size, the park is incredibly rich in biodiversity. It is well known for its tree-climbing lions, troops of baboons, hippos, and elephants. Along the lake’s edge, flamingos and other water birds gather in colorful flocks. After the game drive, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive towards the Ngorongoro highlands, stopping overnight en route to the Serengeti.

Day 3: Enter the Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, the safari continues into the heart of Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous and beloved wildlife reserve. The vast open plains stretch as far as the eye can see and teem with wildlife. This park is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration and high densities of predators including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive through the central Serengeti (Seronera Valley), where wildlife sightings are almost guaranteed. You’ll overnight in a campsite or lodge inside or near the park.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti – Game Viewing Adventure

This day is dedicated to exploring more of the Serengeti’s ecosystems. Depending on the season and wildlife movement, your guide may take you to different zones such as the central plains, river valleys, or kopjes (rocky outcrops). You’ll search for lions on a hunt, elephants marching in herds, cheetahs sprinting, or hyenas scavenging. With luck, you may also spot leopards resting in trees or even a rare black rhino. After a full day of game drives and lunch in the bush, you’ll exit the Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your final overnight stop.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha

The final day takes you into the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular natural wildlife areas in the world. As you descend into the crater, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a dramatic landscape and a thriving population of animals. This is one of the best places to spot the Big Five — especially black rhinos and lions — in a single day. After an unforgettable wildlife experience and picnic lunch on the crater floor, you’ll return to Arusha, concluding your 5-day safari adventure.
