5 Days in Serengeti and Ngorongoro

This 5-day Tanzania safari package begins from Arusha and takes you deep into the Serengeti’s endless plains before descending into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife.

You’ll experience early morning and sunset game drives, enjoy stays in carefully selected lodges or tented camps, and travel with a knowledgeable English-speaking safari guide in a 4×4 vehicle with a pop-up roof for optimal game viewing.

Taking in the very best of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit, our five-day safari visits two of our country’s most iconic destinations, namely Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with its jaw-dropping volcanic crater… Every safari is different – that is the real beauty of it – but you will certainly witness some of the best of the planet’s wildlife in its stunning natural environments.

Day by day

Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti

Our seven-hour journey takes us westwards from Arusha, heading for Serengeti. Along the route, your eyes will be opened to all the colors and character of Tanzania: perhaps some Masai herdsmen driving their flocks of goats to new pastures. You’ll get to know your driver-guide, amazed at his depth of knowledge as he effortlessly answers all your questions. After our long journey, we will enjoy our lunch, before embarking on our afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight Suenos de Africa luxury camp

Day 2-3: full day of discovery Serengeti

Today, we set off from our accommodation in the Central Serengeti. Wildlife is abundant: sometimes you may think it has come to find you, rather than the other way around. Today’s highlight is unknown, as the animals don’t publish their schedule (!) What we see also depends on the season, but this area is where bushland meets grassland, a favorite spot for big cats looking for prey. Cheetah, leopard and lions are all possibilities today.
Dinner and overnight Suenos de Africa luxury camp

Day 4: en-route Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After a morning game drive and lunch, this afternoon we will head south-east towards Ngorongoro, a distance of 145km which will take us around 3 ½-hours.
Dinner and overnight Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge or Related Tented/lodge

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha
Like nothing else on Earth, the stunning crater of Ngorongoro is a unique home for many, many species of Tanzania’s wildlife. With some luck, you may even see a black rhino here. Late afternoon departure to Arusha
